I have an afternoon workshop entitled

One, Two, Three – Hop, Turn, Freeze!

Movement Activities to Enhance Your Early Childhood Environment

Children love and need to move, so why not incorporate dance as a natural part of what you teach every day. Dance is a lively and playful art form full of useful tools for teaching virtually any subject. Research shows the importance of keeping children moving throughout the day and of having opportunities for kinesthetic learning in the classroom. Participants will become familiar with teaching structured movement activities so children have an opportunity to learn and understand personal versus shared space, how their bodies move, control the direction and speed at which they are moving, and increase their strength, balance, and coordination.

So get up & get moving!
